About TexShare

TexShare is a statewide resource sharing program designed to improve library service to Texans. The TexShare Consortium includes public libraries, colleges and universities, and libraries of clinical medicine. TexShare is administered by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC).

The TexShare Databases Program allows consortium members to provide high-quality electronic resources licensed by TSLAC for use by their patrons, students, faculty, and staff. All TexShare electronic resources are competitively bid and meet Texas security, privacy, and accessibility requirements.

TexShare electronic resources include full-text journals and magazines, newspapers, ebooks, learning materials, genealogy resources, and much more. For more information about TexShare electronic resources and the TexShare Consortium, see our Facts at a Glance page.

Access to TexShare electronic resources is provided by local libraries and institutions of higher education. Ask your local librarian for access information. To find a participating library, please use our Find-A-Library service.

Privacy statement. This page tracks IP address, browser information, and information needed to prevent unauthorized uses of the site. For more information about our web policies, please visit the Texas State Library and Archives Web Policies page.

Individual electronic resources track the total numbers of uses and full-text downloads, among other metrics. Some resources require or allow users to create individual accounts, and these accounts allow tracking of other information to provide customized displays and to record activity history related to materials viewed and downloaded. See the privacy policy for each resource for more information.
